A statefarm insurance company in California is selling home insurance in California because of concerns about Tesla, the company said Wednesday.
The Tesla Insurance Corporation said it sold the policy in April to a California resident who is the president of a company called Tesla Property.
The company says the policy has a 10-year limited life and no premium over a standard policy.
Tesla Property is an insurance broker specializing in homeowners insurance, said spokesperson Lisa Fazio.
Tesla said it does not have a policy in place with Tesla Property and that it would not sell Tesla insurance.
